Help us realise the 25 for 25 goal

We believe that elite talent requires top-of-the-line training and education. Your support will enable more talent to access ISB’s premier education and make our impact more tangible.

The School aims to award a minimum of 25% of the tuition fee in the form of scholarships to 25% of the nearly 1500 students in the incoming PGP, PGPMAX, PGPpro, and AMP suite classes of 2025.
We call it the 25 for 25 goal.

This scholarship award calls for a commitment of ₹25 Cr in the upcoming academic year. We seek your support to raise 20% (INR 5 Cr) of the required amount through this giving initiative.

*The balance of funds required for the award of the intended number of scholarships in the  upcoming year will be met through existing donor commitments and the School’s own funds.
How scholarships can step up the momentum
Diverse talent unlocks the possibility of new business and leadership avenues. We aspireto expand the scholarship umbrella to attract candidates from unique geographical and educational backgrounds. The Alumni Giving Initiative is a core component of this mission.

Giving by corporate donors, and funding by the School has also enabled ISB to award a further 260-odd scholarships to deserving students till date.
In our Indian context, we understand the value of education and the power it holds to transform lives. Aakash Chaudhry
Co-Founder & Chief Mentor at Aakash Educational Services Limited (PGP Class of 2004)

Aakash was instrumental in facilitating alumni giving back to ISB as part of the team that founded the ISB Endowment Fund by making the initial contributions to it. In 2019, he gave ₹1 crore to the School to create an endowment for the Aakash Tuition Grant, towards offering need or merit-based tuition waivers to deserving students.

ISB has a very special place in my heart. My education at ISB transformed me as a person. I see it as an honour and privilege to support ISB. I am a strong believer in an inclusive society, and I feel this scholarship will provide an opportunity every year to at least one person facing special circumstances to be able to strive for education from a top educational institution like ISB. At the same time, if this act can spur more fellow ISBians to contribute to ISB in any form, it will be really a great outcome.

Alok Aggarwal
Managing Director & CEO, Brookfield Properties (PGP Class of 2004)

Alok gave back to ISB by instituting the Ishwar Prakash Agarwal Scholarship, in memory of his father. His initial contribution of ₹6 lakh was utilised to award a scholarship to a student of the PGP Class of 2023. Subsequently, he set up an endowment for the scholarship by giving ₹1.25 crore to the School.

I find it extremely gratifying that this scholarship is able to positively influence the career courses of students who are meritorious enough to be in an ISB class by supporting them at a time when their need for financial assistance is critical. As an alumnus of ISB, it is all the more satisfying for me to be the bridge between deserving candidates and an institution that can offer them top-notch management education.
Amit Khanna
Managing Director, Phoenix Advisers (PGP Class of 2004)

Amit has been one of the earliest supporters of the School; starting a scholarship to support financially deserving students of the PGP. Having believed in the importance of building a strong endowment for the success of the School, Amit contributed ₹29 lakh through annual givings earlier and ₹71 lakh to the Alumni Endowment Fund. Through his giving, the Ramesh C Khanna Nurture India Scholarship has supported 18 students so far.

Giving back to your university should not be viewed as altruism, but asan investment. A good way of looking at it would be to imagine that if my children go to that university, they would benefit from such an investment. Events like Solstice and Equinox bring students back. This is evidence that there is an emotional connect.
Deepak Parayanken
Executive Director, Mozambique Holdings Limited (PGP Class of 2011)

The Deepak Parayanken Tuition Waiver was instituted in 2018. He contributed $14,000 to the Alumni Endowment Fund as part of the Reunion Campaign in 2016. He further enhanced his commitment to ISB with an additional contribution of ₹1 Crore in 2018 and ₹1.5 Crore in 2022. His funding will support ISB in awarding at least 10 new tuition waivers in the next five years.

As part of our CSR, we focus on health and education. The primary reason to support these initiatives is to make sure that society and the country benefit at large. We are using ISB as a vehicle to propagate our ideas and vision towards making manufacturing a core sector for the country.
Dr Satyanarayana Chava
CEO and Founder, Laurus Labs (PGPMAX Class of 2011)

Having experienced the impact of PGPMAX on his business, Dr Chava decided to give back to the School through the CSR route of his company, Laurus Labs. They started to give to ISB in 2013 to support the ‘Technology Commercialisation Programme’ which trained 30 scientists and faculty across agriculture, pharma, IT, and manufacturing sectors. Subsequently, they enhanced their contribution towards helping the School in bringing in visiting faculty to teach the PGP.

For me, ISB was the place that gave me the basics of how to build a company. It also opened up opportunities for me to look at functionsthat I had no direct experience in before I went to ISB. This school holdsa special place for me in my life – not only did I learn a lot, I also became part of a network that I have relied on over the years. So, to make the School even stronger, I would like to give back and continue to do soin the coming years.
Neeraj Arora
Co-Founder and QA Test Lead, HalloApp (PGP Class of 2006)

Neeraj has chosen to give back to ISB by establishing a scholarship endowment towards the Jagannath Arora Scholarship, named after his father, through a contribution of ₹85.76 lakh. The scholarship will provide need-based financial aid to a female student every year for perpetuity. He has also contributed ₹24.99 lakh to the School as a class reunion gift.

We established this scholarship with the School’s support because we wanted to help future generations of students benefit from an education at ISB in the same way that we did.
PGPMAX Class of 2012
The PGPMAX Class of 2012 established a need-based scholarship with the intent to support students who choose to work towards societal development. It is awarded to a student from the PGP class with a background of working in the social sector.

This endowment for meritorious women, honouring my grandmother and mother, reflects their cherished values of knowledge, intellect, and grit, principles that ISB embodies for me. My time at ISB was akin to a real-time upgrade of my brain’s operating system. It taught me to ‘drink from a firehose’, fundamentally altering my worldview and self belief. My hope is that with the alumni’s support, ISB continues to forge strong global leaders.

To the future recipients, you are the embodiment of our shared aspirations, and in today’s world, your potential to make a global impact using India as a platform is limitless.

Yashraj Erande

Yash has given back to ISB by establishing an endowment for the Indira-Vasudha Scholarship, named for his grandmother and mother, to support a 25% tuition fee waiver for a meritorious woman PGP candidate every year, commencing from the PGP Class of 2025.

Benefit Through Giving

By supporting the School, you can also avail tax advantages, resulting in mutual benefit.

  • ISB, a registered not-for-profit under Section 8 of the Companies Act 2013 (formerly Section 25 of the Companies Act 1956), qualifies for tax exemption under Section 80G and can receive foreign contributions under FCRA regulations.
  • Alumni resident in USA can donate to ISB through the Friends of ISB Foundation (FISBF) and claim applicable tax benefits.
  • Contributions of INR 1 Lakh and above will be prominently recognised on the School’s website, at the Hyderabad and Mohali campuses and in periodic outreach materials.
